Hi, I’m Court!
Flower lover, nature addict and celebrator of good times. I started my floral journey 9 years ago when I began my traineeship at a retail florist right here on the Sunshine Coast. Fast forward to 2019, after years of working alongside other amazing florists, as well as gaining invaluable industry experience working for 3 years at flower wholesalers, and you have the beginning of Fiesta Flora! A boutique floral studio located at my home in the heart of the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Loosely translated, Fiesta Flora means flowers for celebrations, which is what we are incredibly passionate about.
I am a Sunshine Coast native with my roots in Caloundra, and although I have travelled to many amazing places, I definitely have a huge appreciation for this place I get to call home, and the beautiful locations I am able to immerse myself in bringing floral visions to life.
Being a huge nature lover and admirer of architecture and scenery, I always strive to bring this to the foreground when designing for your special day. Are there any natural elements we can incorporate? Are there any plants or trees whose foliage we can include in your designs? This is what gets me ticking , and is the first and most influential reason of why I love this job so much!
The second reason is you! Creating relationships/friendships with our couples is something I strive for, as I’m a firm believer that we all get the best results when everyone gets along and enjoys the process. This is so much more than a job or a business, this is an extension of myself and what I love, so finding couples who click and who love flowers and love celebrating all the good things in life as much as I do is truly the cherry on top of what is an amazing job.
To get to know me a little, here are just a few anecdotes to paint a bit of a picture: I played basketball my whole childhood and was lucky enough to have it take me to college in the US. I love to travel, and have what I believe is a healthy obsession with Italy and Italian culture (and by extension - Europe and the UK). I cannot wait to go back, again. The love of my life (other than my partner of 11 years, Cam) is our red cattle dog, Banjo. He is my constant companion in the studio - he even has his own little bed - and working from home would not be the same without him. I love to be outside, exploring new places or new scenery. I wont ever say no to a beer/margarita/wine with family and friends. I am a book worm, a board game lover and a Harry Potter nerd.
The Team
Now, it would be absolutely dishonest if I told you everything Fiesta Flora achieves is single handed. Though I currently carry the brunt of the work myself, I am so fortunate to have a village of legends around me who are always a helping hand in busy times. My partner Cam (a chippy) is the brains and fabricator behind our installation pieces, ensuring everything is safe and secure. My family and friends are the extra hands on big studio weeks and large on-site days. You should see my mum reflex roses, she is a wiz. And we have a community of trusted freelancers who also assist on those big wedding weeks, as well as a close working relationship with Kristy at Maple Weddings and Events, who is always willing to lend advice or a hand.

WHAT WE LOVE
Floaty textures, arrangements that wouldn’t look out of place in a European garden, locally sourced flowers and fruits/vegetable and foliage, unique designs that are created with joy, COLOUR, but also a classic and crisp white with green, clients who love florals as much as we do. We could go on and on. But nature at the heart of it all.
